Sabrina Soto shared this recipe for winter sangria on her Instagram, and we can't wait to make it for our holiday parties!
2 cups apple cider
1/3 cup sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 tsp allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves
2 slices of oranges
1/2 cup brandy
1/2 cup orange juice
sliced oranges and apples for garnish
Pour cider, sugar, cinnamon sticks, allspice, ground cloves and oranges into a pot. Let the aromatic mixture simmer. While that cooks, get the wine ready.
Pour the wine into a pitcher. I recommend any Spanish wine, particularly a Tempranillo. Then, add the orange juice (no pulp) and brandy. Once the apple cider has cooled, strain the mixture and add it to the pitcher. Garnish the drink with cut oranges and apples, and serve it in glasses with ice. Enjoy! Xo
